Charlotte’s fans of darker musical fare may have felt a little shortchanged when it came to dance nights in the past but Brad Pressley (the Reverend of Soul) and Chris Ward (DJ Spin), the guys behind “Mirror Moves”, have got that covered.
One of the striking things about “Mirror Moves” versus other dark dance parties was the location – I’m not sure if there is a better spot in Charlotte for a night like “Mirror Moves” than Petra’s. Decked out in syrupy velvet, with it’s speakeasy-esque vibe and Old Hollywood appeal, tucked away in Plaza-Midwood, just steps away from the Diamond for those after dancing diner munchies, Petra’s provides the perfect backdrop for “Mirror Moves” – Charlotte’s new hopefully-monthly patio dance party that’s sharply focused on the dark side of the 80’s (think bands like the Cure, Echo and the Bunnymen, Sisters of Mercy, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Depeche Mode, INXS, etc)…
